Considering the trend, I thought: why not use AI technology for rewriting? AI content writing tools have improved significantly over the last few years, especially in grammar and language quality, though factual accuracy remains a challenge.

Most writers already rewrite existing content, so instead of using simple spintax tools, I decided to leverage AI tools for rewriting. I tested this method on several websites.

Tools & Process

Here’s what I used:

  • English proficiency
  • AI rewriting tool - I used Quillbot
  • Expired domains from expireddomains.net
  • A maximum of 150 articles per website

Steps followed:

  1. Standard niche and keyword research
  2. Preparing article structures (topics, subtopics, etc.)
  3. Copy-pasting content from multiple sources
  4. Rewriting using Quillbot
  5. Publishing the articles

Testing Results

Not all websites performed well. Some failed entirely, while others showed significant traffic increases.

Group 1: Single Article Rewritten

These articles were direct rewrites of a single source with no modifications to structure or format. The results were underwhelming, with traffic ranging between 50-100 visitors/day.

Group 2: Multiple Articles Combined

These articles merged content from multiple sources, improving structure using bullet points, tables, etc. This method performed better, with traffic between 100-400 visitors/day.

Group 3: Multiple Articles + Unique Topics

These articles included unique subtopics not covered in other sources. The best-performing blog in this group reached 900-1200 visitors/day.

Risks

Using this method comes with risks, similar to other spam tactics. Some sites got penalized or lost rankings due to aggressive article posting without proper evaluation. Others suffered index cuts from Google.

Final Thoughts

This experiment confirmed my assumptions, leading to further testing and ideas for improving my blogs.
